Grandmothers cooking
Can you remember eating freshly cooked food, prepared by your Grandmother, from her own garden produce? I have great memories of picking fruit and veg just feet from the back door, and watching my Grandmother create fabulous meals, basic meat and two veg followed by the most amazing puds with ‘real ‘custard. I managed to get hold of the new Be-Ro cook book yesterday, it is a walk down memory lane salivating over the traditional recipes, does any-one out there still make the old fashioned puddings, treacle sponge, spotted dick etc...
